When Team Trump tried to first launch Truth Social beta a while back they got into hot water because they were using the Mastodon open source code but were in violation of the GNU General Public License because they were not attributing the original code and were not releasing their own code under the same GNU General Public License.
Today Truth Social seems to still using Mastodon open source code:
https://truthsocial.com/open-source
But I am not sure this page meets the requirements of the GNU GPL... I will have to download the zip and dig into it, but at the very least I was expecting a GNU GPL statement on the site... this seems missing unless it is in the zip.
edit: the zip is just a copy of https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon but the name of the zip file "Truth Social (Mastodon)" certainly indicates that Truth.social runs on Mastodon code. If that is true it would look like they are not in compliance with GNU GPL yet.
