What would be our current state of gay/transgender people if someone with Hitler's exact views were alive today?
What actually did happen to gays/blacks, minorities during WW2? I obviously know what we have been told.
Were they just laborers like the others?
Excellent question, as said they were treated well, but he didn't cover how non-citizens were treated. Any non-ethnic German could not become a citizen, but that didn't mean they couldn't live and work in Germany. Much in the way being a resident alien works in most countries. I could go to China today and live/work there for the rest of my life, but I'd never be allowed to become a citizen, my children would not be Chinese and I could never vote or buy land.
This was the status conferred to jews as well.

As far as homos they were largely treated the same as in the US in the same time period. They were more tolerated the more they kept their perversions to themselves. Once outed they were treated as outcasts and may get a random beatdown, the same as known non-gay pedophiles.

The NS actually did draw the symbol of satan on kike owned businesses so Germans knew who to avoid.
