On the evening of January 11, 2013, Swartz's girlfriend, Taren Stinebrickner-Kauffman, found him dead in his Brooklyn apartment.[71][104][105] A spokeswoman for New York's Medical Examiner reported that he had hanged himself.[104][105][106][107] No suicide note was found.[108] Swartz's family and his partner created a memorial website on which they issued a statement, saying: "He used his prodigious skills as a programmer and technologist not to enrich himself but to make the Internet and the world a fairer, better place."[23]

Days before Swartz's funeral, Lawrence Lessig eulogized his friend and sometime-client in an essay, Prosecutor as Bully. He decried the disproportionality of Swartz's prosecution and said, "The question this government needs to answer is why it was so necessary that Aaron Swartz be labeled a 'felon'. For in the 18 months of negotiations, that was what he was not willing to accept."[109] Cory Doctorow wrote, "Aaron had an unbeatable combination of political insight, technical skill, and intelligence about people and issues. I think he could have revolutionized American (and worldwide) politics. His legacy may still yet do so."[110]

1/11 - interesting repeating numbers.

Reddit has no mention of him on the founders page.

He basically designed the website and it's functionality, he's the reason everyone left digg.

Then they smeared his name, and killed him because they saw how much money and influence the website could wield. Jew sacrifice to Baal, or some such shit.

[–] 2 pts

They killed him bc he discovered child porn (and a very large international ring) on the servers at MIT.

Damn, that would be interesting stuff if you could provide a thread on this theory?

it was (((suicide))). he had hacked harvards(?) servers and got a hold of some Epstein "insurance", and so...well, suicide.

[–] 3 pts

It's probably more mundane, he was a free speech absolutist. Reddit became a shithole of censorship less than a year after his death.

[–] 1 pt

It was an assassination not a suicide no matter the details.

[–] 1 pt

It was MIT's servers. Years later, turns out the MIT Media Lab is really, really good friends with Epstein...big surprise there They accused him of downloading...JSTOR articles, which many institutions have a subscription to, including most public libraries. Definitely not worth "stealing" if you can call downloading something that is free "stealing"

((( suicide ))))

[–] 3 pts

He was against censorship and against advertising influence on post promotions.

He wanted people to have public access to paid-only research studies and information. They harassed and threatened him to suicide. What a lovely justice system we have.

Now Chinese company "Tencent" owns much of Reddit, and they censor everything. Exactly the opposite of what Aaron was trying to accomplish with his work.

muh China

Fuck off.

reddit censors everything because of jews, and you know this.

I wonder if jews set up puppet companies in China for the sole purpose of leading the slightly more inquisitive normies astray.

[–] 1 pt

jews own China.

Are you unaware of this?

[–] 0 pt

Ok, "Tallest Skill." Some of you get so triggered by facts. All I state is that Tencent owns shares which is a fact.

[–] 0 pt

A+

Tencent owns a small portion of (((reddit))).

Great. Take your muh China kikery elsewhere.

he calls me Tallest Skil

That is actually hilarious.

Reddit didn't get to where they are by their current standards. Once they captured a large enough market changes began to occur, Aaron happened to die a year before Reddit was being used by everybody in college.

[–] 2 pts

Lol. China. You should look into the ((Newhouse)) family

[–] 1 pt

I guess he didn't have the 'power of the swartz'...

[–] 1 pt

At least he didn't see what Reddit became

[–] 1 pt

Why and how is this something that is just now a TIL for you if you're here on Poal? Everyone on Poal should know of him by now.

[–] 0 pt

Poal is only being used now because putitout decided to broker deals with jewish scum on voat.

[–] 1 pt

or did he...

[–] 0 pt

No suicide note being left is suspect IMO.

[–] 1 pt

I feel like this is a Mandela effect for me... I thought he was in the news recently wtf

looks like you fell into a worse existince.

did they still have jello pudding pops in that better reality?
