They clearly weren't, we have lots of proof of that.

Preaching to the choir on the masks, but I've met trustworthy people who got some sort of illness and then lost their sense of smell and taste for a while. It stands to reason that a bunch of people experiencing the same symptoms probably got the same thing.

I get it, bro, the gob'ment and media lied about so many facets of the thing, that it's reasonable to question every part of it, but that doesn't mean that there are that many people lying about a particular symptom. Anyway, have an upvote.
