Excess minerals will hit the colon, so you don't need to be overly concerned about consumption. You can do a power shot of zinc if you can't smell and it may bring your smell back within the same day. My preferred zinc form is chelated and I'll take like 200mg at a time. It can be a bit hard on the stomach though, so any supplements should go with food.
