As a hobby brewer I asked this question on day one. Its not so much how they grow, Cannabis is a plant that grows incredibly fast, hops is a vine that grows with a little less ferocity. The smell is the thing. Ya'know that commercial where the Samuel Adams guy puts his face into a giant pile of hops? I do that every time I brew. Hops are delightful to smell. Their odor is unforgettable and amazing. Go to a home brew shop and buy a couple ounces. It will be less than $10 Just enjoy the smell. Even taste it, the bitterness. is enjoyable. If you are interested, home brewing is also a fun hobby. If you like cooking or even how things go together, you will like it. The process is fun and has a very nice pleasant smell. Like baking bread but sweeter. Plus you make lots of friends to drink your beer you make.
