Then the CIA helped "fix" the government with one hostile to the Soviets. Imagine during the Cold War if the Soviets removed the Mexican government and replaced it with one that was hostile to the United States. Of course they invaded. Then the US spent the better part of a decade giving training and arms to the fucking terrorists fighting the Soviets. All that mattered was that they were fighting the Soviets. Your tax dollars funded the creation of the Taliban and Al Queda.
American foreign policy has been disasterous for ourselves and the world for a long time, but especially since WWII.
Getting the Soviets to invade was the point. I don't really have to imagine the Soviets replacing the Mexican government because they replaced the Cuban one, and the CIA invaded that, too.
Oh it was shit before that. Look up the turn of the century. Teddy the twit and the presidents one or two before and after. They caused all sorts of foreign disasters.
