Yes, I think we agree for the most part. The way I see it is that book burning by the National Socialist was a powerful display representing their rejection of Weimar degeneracy. Though many examples should be kept so one can show why they were burned in the first place. I do not equate what the Allies did with what the National Socialists did as the Allies did not capitalize on ceremony like the Germans did, and I dare say burned books out of Jewish and Allied fear of a Natsoc resurection rather than from a moral high ground. Though at this time a book burning would instantly get you branded as a Nazi and cause most people to disagree as a knee jerk reaction.
