No surprise if you know much geography, but it sounds interesting at first to those who do not appreciate the shape of the west coast, with Southern California receding to the east. Also when you use Los Angeles as a reference, many people might assume that it is California's capital rather than Sacramento.

You don't own a map or know how to use maps.google.com because la is at 34.274,-118.322 , while (1) Reno, (2) Sacramento, (3) Salem, (4) Olympia, (5) Juneau, and (6) Honolulu are all definitely west of there.

I live and travel in these states, and I'm American so of course I know the capitols. Drilled into us in school back when a US education meant something. Know the capitol of Isreal, turkey, Congo? No fucking idea. You claiming to not know what a state capitol is? Well you ain't in north America cause all 3 countries have state capitols.

And Carson city is only 20 mins or so from Reno.

You can forever go east or west, but this is not true for north and south. Go far enough north, and as you pass the north pole, you begin to go south.
