I just checked with my coffee and 100 beans was 13 grams, or about 0.13g per bean. That means you're using 2.3g for a cup of coffee. That's about a teaspoon of beans or a half-teaspoon of grounds (they're more tightly packed). There's no way that's strong.
When I make weak coffee I use 1g per ounce, which is almost 3x what you're using. You can still see light through it if you hold it up to a window, and that's grinding it to an espresso powder and using a pour-over with filter paper which gives stronger coffee than a French Press.
I mean, I can post pictures. I comes out pretty black, and maybe it’s not super strong per your standards but it’s what I’m accustomed to and it gets me by. I’m trying to get by without much caffeine anyways.
