If the administrator/owner of an online community behaves hostile (e.g. suppression of legitimate criticism and questions; banning for absurd reasons), don't even bother with them. They're usually hopelessly lost. Their culture is rotten, which is hardly repairable.

If a mere moderator (non-administrator) misbehaves, you'll have to see whether the administrator sides with you (good admin), or the corrupt moderator. If the latter is the case, and the administrators neglect your inquiries or suppress you otherwise, that site is likely a hopeless case. Better don't even bother with that site and seek a more civil alternative.

For example: When Reddit powermod ** deleted all of my posts in /r/AppleSucks (because of which I have created ), the Reddit admins, instead of arbitrating the issue, they sitebanned me. They sided with a corrupt moderator instead of an innocent and legitimate user, which exposes them as culturally corrupt.

Also, don't forget to share your experiences* with communities that are under the scrutiny of critic allergics and hostile culture to **** to encourage fellow Internet users to keep away from that site and seek alternatives.

Reddit's administrators kicked me, Voat.co effectively told me to piss off due to their absurd post throttling (1 post per 24 hours. No joke.), but with Poal.co, my experiences with their administrators are overwhelmingly positive.
