Not sure if this belongs here, but I have an interesting story to tell.
Game: https://gamejolt.com/games/no-one-has-to-die/14133
The rest is spoilers. Play the game if you don't want to be spoiled. Gameplay is about 20 minutes.
Basic summary of the game for those who don't care about the game or don't want to play it:
So putting the pieces together:
6 million cockatiels
"Rise from the ashes" spelled out in the security code
I think this might have been an extremely subtle holocaust joke by the developer.
Also, looked at their Twitter linked on the game's about page they seem to be a queer Jew. So more irony there.
"No-one has to die" is a very compelling game which is why I come back to it so often just for the story, and I'm sad that it died on most platforms with death of Flash. But upon revisiting the game, I think I found a great hidden gem of a holocaust joke.

Basic summary of the game for those who don't care about the game or don't want to play it: [Our story takes place in a building owned by the company called "Fenix Corp" (Phoenix homophone intentional). So basically, there's 4 people that are trapped in a burning building, but they've all actually been there before. The game follows something akin to Groundhog's day but with time machine that can transport "consciousnesses" across universes (multiverses exist in game). A visitor is in each timeline, and can only save one person each level which leads to different character endings. Every ending grants a new security code to the visitor which comes together in the final timeline, I'm just mentioning that because it ties in with the game's message in the true end. Each of the characters has their own motivations, but that's not important for what I'm getting into. One of the characters, Steve, in his ending, we found out the company, Fenix Corp, was putting 6 million cockatiels in the time machine and transferred their consciousnesses across the multiverse. All 6 million of the cockatiels died. ](#spoiler)
