First, thank you everyone. Your well wishes mean a lot to me, and I've passed them them on. My folks have no idea who you are, I just mentioned people I know online are pulling for them.

The diagnosis came back with two masses on the brain. One of them appears to be a potentially cancerous growth, it's golf ball size and is pressing on the brain. This may have been there for some time, but she's just of the age that it's become a problem. The other one appears to be a smaller, benign (such a weasel word) growth, and they aren't worried about that.

She had a consultation with the neurosurgery team, they're going to take it out tomorrow. She'll be in surgery for a few hours, and then ICU for a few days. Not much I can do from here, so I'm going to go about my business and wait to see what happens.

Rest of the family showed up for a while as well, but she was well out of it by then - there was a lot of pain earlier and that just wore her down. And I do mean a lot, she's normally very resistant to that kind of thing and when doctors ask on a scale of 1-10 how much does it hurt, she goes "your scale or mine?"

But again, thank you - I sincerely appreciate all of you.

9/5: She went into surgery around 2:30EST, will take about 2.5 hours total. 2 days in the ICU after that.

I understood that, at some point, my life will end - many decades ago. It's just the way things work. People, things, places - all change.

I don't know that she's come to that realization yet, and this is the first "oh shit" brush with death. We'll all be there for her when she gets out of the ICU, I'm fortunate that she's nearby and it's basically a 15 minute drive.
