Here are a few. YMMV, I used grok to find these.
Title: Joe Rogan Experience #1757 - Jordan Peterson Platform: YouTube (full episode available) Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D3o1yv2Q8o Relevant Timestamp: Around 1:45:00–1:50:00 (Peterson discusses contagion in the context of gender dysphoria and youth transitions). Summary of His Argument: Peterson argues that the sharp rise in transgender identifications (especially among adolescent girls) isn't primarily biological but influenced by social media, peer groups, and cultural trends. He cites research on "sociological contagions" and warns that affirming transitions too early could lead to regret, drawing parallels to historical moral panics.

Much appreciated! I'll dig into these links now.
The underlying moral argument seems to be that, in a healthier society, this trend wouldn't be allowed to gain such traction—particularly among youth. Traditionally, parents acted as a moderating force against psychological distress manifesting in harmful behaviors, such as anorexia or self-harm. But in this case, many parents have become enablers rather than protectors. This is largely because the broader culture—through media, politics, and education—has normalized and even celebrated gender dysphoria rather than addressing it as a psychological struggle.
The language itself has been reshaped to obscure what’s actually happening. Terms that once implied disorder or distress are now framed in affirming, euphemistic ways. "Gender-affirming care" replaces what might more critically be called "medical intervention for identity confusion." This distortion doesn’t just accommodate dysphoria—it reinforces and institutionalizes it.
What we're seeing isn’t just compassion or tolerance, but a systemic unwillingness to engage with the possibility that this might, for many, be a symptom of deeper psychological or social issues—ones that should be met with careful scrutiny, not blind affirmation.
This is what I keep saying.
I don't need states to ban porn. I need PARENTS TO FUCKING BE PARENTS.
There are so many things that parents should be doing but don't that they now are asking the government to do it for them. Its insane. Then again, it is basically the public "education" system in a nut-shell. Don't just send your kids off to kid-jail and hope they turn out ok. Actually be parents and not just to make sure they get to "sports practice" or "sports game".
In the conversation I am looking for, Peterson was expressing how the trans ideology is a social contagion and he compared it to previous fads like bulimia, anorexia, wrist cutting, etc., that were fringe issues until they caught on socially, then grew as the notoriety of it grew.
