Hello all,

I am Owlchemy's daughter. I am sorry to say, legitimately, he passed away somewhat suddenly on Sunday, September 8th. No offense is taken on this post, I was lucky enough to inherit his cutting sense of humor - I think he would find humor in this thread. He was a great father and is missed tremendously.

Baby Bird

Thank you so much for taking that time to let us know about that very saddening news. :(

Please accept our sincere condolences.

Your father joined our community last year and gave us tons of chuckles and fun time. He's gonna be greatly missed.

We've lost a great friend, but are really proud to have the chance to get to know him.

RIP Owl, we're already missing you...

Well, damn. I am terribly sorry to hear that.

I really liked Owlchemy, he clearly had an impact on a lot of people here. Been lots of posts over the past week or two about Owlchemy not coming online.

You and your family will be in my prayers. Thank you for updating us all on what happened.

He is already missed.

Take care

About four years ago I lost my job, and I remember him giving me great words of comfort in that awful time. It wasn't anything too profound, he basically said "you'll find another job", but it was exactly what I needed to hear. He was a great guy.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I'm really new here, but your dad was so nice to me at introduction. We also had a brief chat on our mutual love of stargazing. I'm glad his posts live on, on here, so that I can have the chance of exploring all of the interesting things he shared.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Your father touched more people than he realized. He left a wonderful legacy.

Wow, Owlchemy was a great guy. I was lucky to interact with him on and off of this site. Every time I did he brought a lot of humor and was a joy.
