Half had to navigate a jargon-filled message about "intranets" and "EFT" payments.

I'm sorry...if those two words are the most confusing thing you'll read, then you just need to full stop because you just can't even. Anyone that's been in the workforce in the last 30 years should at least know what those mean.

I know Merriam-Webster disagrees, but Jargon =/= =/ =/ =\ =] =) <|=-{()>

______________ | | | | | | | | | | _|_________|_ | _ _ | | (-) (-) | \ / | ^ | \ \____/ / \_______/

jargon is not equivalent to technical terminology. The point of technical terminology is precision of language, where what you say cannot be mistaken for, or interpreted as, anything else.

Technical terminology elucidates and defines, whereas jargon typically obscures and confuses.

Yeah, intranet sounds a lot like internet, but they aren't the same, and they are different words for a damn good reason.

Jargon is used when you want to Jew the words up, typically in finance, like:

We can leverage your current real estate assets in order to offset the potential future costs incurred by expected living expenses

which just translates to

gibs me your house, goyim

Have you leveraged your synergies lately?

Exactly. Corp speak is an entertaining language exercise and word puzzle to help you survive another boring daily prison sentence.

They want to simplify corp speak down to pidgin english levels, because niggers and other shitskins struggle with it.

I say leave it as is. Hell, make it even more complex, nuanced, and ineffectual.

A stupid article.

Yes it is. It fits "tempest in a teapot" quite nicely.
