I ate too much yesterday. Not much sugar though. So that's good. Made a pot of coffee when tempted (still some in the house) last night.

Binge watched some toob. Good shows are like GLORIOUS BREASTS!

Best to pour it all out man. Having a bit left over has been the bane of many a dry spell.

Thinking about it, but the wife is not on this wagon, as much as I want her to be. She's italian, and can hold her liquor.

But, she's been sober with me so far, so good.

Nice. Yeah "wife management" is a big part of this challenge.

When I quit, I started drinking ginger beers and then just seltzer water when I felt like I wanted a drink.

Ya I was drinking a case of those flavoured sparkling canned waters. For ages. Took a while to retrain my brain.

I have been drinking Tonic Water when i feel like something other than water or caffeine. I need to pick up some ginger beer too.

Glad to have you with us! If you'd like to be counted among those who completed TheRedPill's Dry January 2021 Challenge, just keep going through Feb 3.

I'll add you to the daily ping list. You can read an intro post

Itching a little bit right now. It's back to work tomorrow and I have a couple fat Christmas gift cigars that would go great with bourbon. Should prob toss out the cigars as well I suppose.

Thanks for making the post, and glad your challenge is coming along well! Coffee can help the liver heal and its a less destructive addiction than alcohol of course. If you want to work on that too, slowly ease off the coffee.

You can add a "Challenge" flair to the posts, and remember to tag everyone in the pings. I got you this time time. We have 12 13 people total. I'll see if Poal supports an easier way handle the roster.

I too am on the wagon. My last hangover was New Years Day. Does that make today dry day 3 for me? I used to count the hangover day but sometimes with a bad hangover its easy to not drink, Its day 2 and 3 is really the start. Well, Im with you man! I have been wanting to quit since November. Been drinking since I was 15, so 25 yrs.

I will come and post my progress in your threads. We can do it, I need to do it. For my kids.

don't want to say anything that could harm your progress (great work btw keep it up) but could you drink non alcoholic beer? or would the flav cause you to relapse? theres also lots of other non alcohol stuff like non alcohol gin and theres a rum one too.

mods: if this comment is unhelpful, please delete.

Going straight to water and tea is better.

"Non-alcoholic" beer can is actually allowed to have a certain percentage of alcohol, so that's really toeing the line.

[–] 0 pt

No. That would not work for me. One is too many right now, so the taste would have me cave. Also, I'm trying to lose the beer weight.
