My work requires people who haven’t taken the jab to wear masks as of a few weeks ago. I haven’t worn my mask since. My work doesn’t require you show proof, nor do they want people questioning your status. Anyway, can I get fired for not wearing a mask? It was announced everybody must mask up regardless of status. I’m in California.

It’s a tricky situation. Beginning today everybody must mask up due to the fake variant, so I’m good for now unless somebody finds out I’m not vaccinated and didn’t wear my mask for a few weeks. I’ll just mask up and stay that way until hopefully this whole situation goes away. My wife is begging me to just get the jab because we can’t afford to lose my job. She got it 3 months ago and has been fine.
