I thought life is a meaningless joke; a long hardcore-mode game where you only get to live one spawn, in your specific body, before having to insert another coin to try again. I thought we accepted the risk of imminent death the very moment our hearts start beating, and if we can't come to terms with it then we're nothing better than a bunch of fucking idiots. I also thought giving up all of our agency and free will, just to have a bunch of pencil-necked dweebs get to tell us how to live the rest of our lives, to be pretty retarded as well.
But, hey, what do I know: I'm just a guy.
