People conflate fascism with the nazi party as they conflate communism with Ussr.
The first is an ideology. The other is how it was implemented which is always affected by interpretation.
So fascism could be enacted as a means to grab power from hostile foreign subversive forces. Or as today is to seize power and oppress targeted populations.

On one end you have capitalism. The other is represented by communism.
Democratic socialism of FDR was well to the left of capitalism. USA today is even further along well into fascism and IMHO with the great reset and economic collapse we will see full blown communism
