I woke up in the hospital once, slipped on ice and hit my head which I could have done sober since I lived at the top of a very long hill in Appalachia, without a hangover and my BAC when they tested me hours after admission was I think 0.453. And that was after hours of not drinking anything on my way home, hours until someone found me, and hours in the hospital. Yet I remember everything until a few seconds after I hit my head and thought, "I really need to get up or I'll pass out." I was pushing my bicycle home since I usually caught the caught the bus to work and the bus stopped right at the bottom of the hill. The cops put my bike in their storage, surprisingly no one stole it, and didn't charge me, but damned well shamed me when I went to get my bike.

Once I had measured and cut a bunch of 2x4s , 1x4s, and plywood sheets to build 2 lofts. I figured I'd mark them for placement while having a few drinks then call it quits and build the things in the morning since it was Saturday. I put on some music and I was pretty tipsy before I was done and ready to put the things away for the night. Next thing I know I wake up in the storage space the next day and everything was built perfectly. Held way over the few hundred pounds I had designed it for.

That’s a high BAC for hours after drinking.

I’m a light weight, I have a breathalyzer and found my ideal buzz is .04 and I keep it there with a beer every 45 minutes, at .06 I feel like crap and .08 I feel like crap but can still drive lol.

Oregon is a weird fucking state. You can blow a 0.00, take a blood test that shows no drugs in your system and can still be arrested for driving under the influence if you’re driving like your drunk for a few seconds while not paying attention.

Then you have to hire a lawyer for thousands, go to court show all the proof and get it dismissed.

And I live in a commonwealth with blue laws where I couldn't buy alcohol on my 21st birthday because it was Sunday.

lmao, I didn’t even know what that was until I was in the military. We got a weekend pass in training and we were running low on alcohol and someone said, it’s 11pm we need to hit the store before midnight or we won’t have anything to drink tomorrow. I’m like wtf lol.

Then when I got to my first duty station which I didn’t know had blue laws, me and a buddy drove 20 miles to a small town and planned to bbq at the park and have a few drinks. We pick up all the food and had to the cooler section and it’s chained shut lmao. Like a couple of idiots we went up front and told them the beer was chained and asked if they could unlock it. They just started laughing and said it’s sunday, even if we unlocked it we couldn’t sell it to you without getting in trouble.

My buddy should’ve known he’d been there for a year, we could’ve just picked the beer up on base before heading out but somehow even after dating a girl from the area and her mom working at a bar and it was always closed sundays he never figured it out.
