Well giving it a name would open them up to being sued for malpractice. Doctors pushing any of this holocough shit just proves they are simply drug dealers for big pharma, and not the 'healers' they claim to be. Any medical professional worth a shit has been resisting this obvious bullshit from the begining. If they haven't been, then I would think twice about involving them in your health care.
