Where you live makes a huge difference in the quality of the police force you have. Also having stupid people voting in the ones that are the problem is huge and the police chief and mayor are the part that make sure the bad police are removed and replaced with men that will keep a good town and get rid of crappy people that just steal or do shit like pedo shit or make sure those fuckers know they are not welcome. I like my town and the local and sheriffs department are friendly and don't slack so crime is low and they are liked and respected. I always wave and say hi and let them know we appreciate their efforts. If you treat them like they are your enemy they likely will not make an effort to treat you well either, they are my neighbors and I treat them like a good neighbor which is the way I would like to be treated. :)
