It’s already happening in Los Angeles County, where the Los Angeles Times noted a “big push for Californians to switch to N95 or KN95 masks” as an updated county health order that went into effect Monday requires employers to provide not just masks for their employees but “a well-fitting medical grade mask, surgical mask or higher-level respirator, such as an N95 filtering facepiece respirator or KN95.”
The next step in the punishment begins.
If you’re in a particularly high-risk situation — say, you have the sniffles but you’re going to visit your immuno-compromised grandmother in an assisted living facility — and you want to take extra precaution, you can stay home or wear an N95.
N95 is a respirator which protects the wearer from fine particles. A mask is a source control device which is meant to protect others. If you need both then consider SCBA. I feel bad for this person's gran.
The respirator was in the ohsa mandate after it discussed how thick a mask had to be(no light can penetrate a cloth mask with a flashlight and must be tested before work). Then the next page was how to fit employees for n95 respirators and how to store and clean them.
I already saw this coming. I give it until the next wave before they try push that shit here.
