It was a CIA operation and the proof is there. Read this book (libgen it, our Russian friends built it for this purpose and don't pay Amazon a single cent) and the Jonestown Archive and you'll see. I read the book and researched it and came into the same conclusion years ago.
It is not that difficult.

They could have easily done just that bc they were all brainwashed - whether or not it were a cia op/ mk ultra-esque thing going on - or actually is the point of being brainwashed and that they killed themselves - certainly the children were forced to drink the kool aid.
You can induce anyone to commit suicide. I know it and my friends (include very powerful people) already showed me how to do it.
They gathered Shiro Ishii's Unit 731 data that Japanese perfected after WW2 and gave Ishii full pardon. It is all in there.
So CIA could easily induce people to commit suicide. Piece of cake.

Jonestown was a mass-suicide by virtue of the prolonged/ sustained all encompassing brainwashing employed on the residents.
It wasnt some secret squirrel cia assasins that physically murdered each individual - as appears to be the inference - although personally i'm unconvinced every single individual that was there that day died, but simply a showcase of how successful the (cia/ mk ultra) techniques are on a totally insulated and continuously worked over group of recipients were.
