He makes a good point. They tried to make all of that tyranny permanent and we painstakingly fought them back. If there are no consequences for them they will try it again over and over. We will be fighting an endless, losing battle to maintain our freedoms where our enemies suffer no losses. They are trying to re‐write history and deny some of what they did, but they haven’t even had to name scapegoats yet.
