I just binge watched the entire first three seasons in less than a day, and although the aftermath was horrific (lol couch covered in cheeto dust and a few Soylent spills) it was totally worth it! Probably the most intellectual show that I have watched in the past decade or more!

It is about a scientist, Rick Sanchez, who is the smartest man in the Universe! Finally, a cartoon with a character I can actually relate to!!!

He does whatever he wants to and doesn't care what other people think, subscribe to societal norms, or even have a higher purpose or cause, other than mindless self-pleasure in the form constant drinking and occasionally playing video games! Blips and Chitz! But other people are constantly criticizing him for his lack of caring, but he doesn't care, because he is above them all due to his superior intellect! He doesn't even believe in God!

I feel like it was written about me!

Regardless, it is a very intellectual show, I wouldn't be surprised if most of you couldn't understand it, you have to be pretty high IQ to get some of the references. My IQ is over 160, so I get it.

They make a lot of esoteric references to pop culture, mostly TV and Movies, so you would have to both be smart and watch a lot of TV to understand it all.

The easier ones you may understand, like the entire concept is a nod to Back to a Future, and the relationship between the Professor and Marty. But the harder ones, you would never be able to get.

For example, in one episode they enter a parallel universe populated by deformed human monsters, and refer to them as "Cronenbergs".

Lol, did you know that David Cronenberg was a director, famous for his body horror, and using practical effects to depict human mutations, like in the movie "The Fly"? Bet you didn't.

So that is why you kind of have to be smart to appreciate it. So many subtle references to TV and Movies. If you haven't watched any of those movies or shows, you must be retarded.

But the coolest part is how Rick is so alone because he is so smart. That explains exactly how I feel.

He is so smart he never listens to anyone else, or improve himself (other than the cybernetics he installs in his body, lol) and never makes a sincere attempt to love his family or put them first.

I never used to understand why I was so alone, why nobody wanted be around me.

But now I do. Thanks to Rick and Morty, I totally get it.

It is, because,

I'm Pickle Rick!!!!

Wub a lub a dub dud!!!

You don't hate me, you are just too stupid to understand Rick and Morty.

But that's what happens when you spend your day doing low IQ stuff like trying to build something, like a moron laborer, instead of watching High IQ TV shows and looking up the references they make on the Rick and Morty fan wiki.

You are a pleb who will be stuck making things by hand, while I think the big thoughts.

I almost pity you.

My thoughts are bigger than yours. We need a thought measuring contest to settle this for once and for all.
