Please take a moment to silence your cellphone, quiet your mind, and pray in the fashion you best see fit.

Tonight, oddly enough, we pray our employers, bosses, masters, whatever you wish to call them.

Last week we received two new prayer requests, one from , asking:

My boss's daughter is recovering from colon cancer if you could add her to prayer list

and another, from , saying:

If can remember next week throw one in there for my current/former boss to get some sleep. Last few days have been stressful trying to understand such burdens, only to find rest near impossible at night. Would only guess their shoes are much tighter from such a situation.

In this world, and at this time, I think it is exceedingly easy for us to forget that the human who signs your paycheck is not in control of your life.

As much as they may appear to be in control, they are not. They are simple humans, and while their actions can often seem illogical or malevolent, I would offer that they are as Lost as we are, and deserve Prayer as much as our Family and Neighbors.

They are imperfect humans, just like us, and we must remember this.

Also, Please remember all of our past prayers, such as those for 's Mother, 's Mother, and anyone else we have prayed for in the past.

I really do appreciate the prayers, but my mother passed away last week. Sorry I never mentioned it. I'm still dealing with it honestly.

My heart is with you. Lost both my parents in a very short time span nearly a decade ago. They are still in the forefront of my thoughts most days.

I've come to recognize those who have passed are still with us, just not in the way we are accustomed.

I wish you and your mom's family peace.

So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I lost my mother a couple of months ago. Its a tough deal loosing a parent, but be assured in the promise of eternal life and her spirit being with our loving Father.

Thank you. It's been tough. I was there with her at the end. It was pretty traumatizing to tell the truth, but if it gave her some comfort at the end then it was worth it.

I know I should be grateful, I got two weeks to say goodbye to her. Some people don't get any time. Still doesn't make it any easier.

Such a wild thing to go through, but also so normal that everyone has to go through it if they live long enough...
