I feel it is probable that she was behaving so much like an omega that the dog felt compelled to take over the roll of alpha. I wonder if the dog was embarrassed at how fragile she was.

Dog was going around like, "damn, THIS is my owner?"
But I've written about pits. I had one from a puppy and for 7 years. Plenty of time together. It was clear I was the alpha of my house. Very smart dog. But I never trusted her. Once she had a urinary tract infection and was very, very aggressive. 75lb tank could rip my face off if she wanted too. Also not great around other dogs.
I know people are mixed on pits but I see them as a liability.
