Look at the handshake. Free masons
Freemason handshakes touch thumb to a top knuckle. The knuckle you touch identifies your rank.
I concede... thanks for the correction. I must had saw different earlier or was really high.
Eh. I'll take it back. I looked it up and I found that there may be a handshake between "Master Masons" that does involve gripping eachothers wrists (and possibly the pressure applied determines wether or not you're a Mason?)
I was basing my argument on my experience but I only went through the first steps (Entered Apprentice). I did get my hands on their study book and never saw anything about another grip besides the E1, E2, and E3. Even though their entire group is supposed to be built on everything being passed on by word of mouth; Yes, they do have a book of all of their rules/teachings.
It's kind of hilarious. To become an entered Apprentice, you go through this little hazing. Part of that hazing, they explain to you that nothing can ever be written down. Then a short while later (after you've forgotten that part) they ask you to write down some name they just told you. The moment you pick up the pencil and begin to write the first letter, everyone in the room starts screaming at you and then they "decide" if you're actually worthy after ignoring such a serious rule. But then they pass out these books with all of those teachings printed. Lmao.
To be fair, a lot of masons were very much against these books being printed and a lot of them walked away when it was decided that the books would be printed and distributed.
Anyway, what I'm getting at is, I'm not sure what to think of freemasons. They seem to hold a lot of high power positions but, in my short experience, they seemed more like a dieing fraternity. But, again, my experience was short so maybe the more you climb the ranks, the more you get into the dirt they possibly get into. If I had to guess, freemasonry is just a part of these psychotic politicians path but, at the same time, every freemason isn't on some journey towards a NWO. Most of them just view it as a frat/brotherhood.
It's absolutely a brotherhood regardless. They WILL, without question, look out for each other. So I guess keep that in mind.
Edit: Damn. Sorry for the novel. Guess I had a lot to say about it. Now that we've talked about it though, I'm genuinely considering going back in just to go down the rabbit hole and see what's going on in there.
