This is why I hate liberals with so much passion: their constant playing with words to manipulate the perceptions of others. They intentionally confuse and confound the facts surrounding any issue where reality is not on their side (which is most issues). Notice that they say 90% of households, not 90% of people. That's because they're trying to scare you into thinking herd immunity doesn't happen until 90% of the population is immune, whether through vaccination or surviving actual infection. This is in their interest to keep the fright alive. They want people to think there's still a long ways to go with lockdowns, masks, and social distancing.

The average Amish family has seven children. Add two parents and you have a household of nine. It only takes one person in a household to get COVID to count as the household having been infected. The mathematical reality of this article is that herd immunity was achieved somewhere between 11 - 90% of the population having COVID, which isn't inconsistent with what "controversial" epidemiologists have been saying for over a year: that we only need to reach 60% immunity or so before COVID is on the decline.
