Entry is not the same as immigration.
Sorry, you’re correct. But the point still stands about vaccine passports - if I want to immigrate to the US I need to prove my vaccination history and I do that with the vaccination passport. I’ve been to countries where entry is dependent on having particular vaccines so I presented my cert with my regular passport, and that was long before covid was even an idea.
