So liquids are an actual threat. Testing them isn't that hard but would waste time if they needed you to open every single water vessel you have, and they would inevitably miss one.
But I don't know why they couldn't have done that without a false flag.

He has some degree of autism that keeps him from realizing teaching people how to make liquid explosives isn't the right kind of content for a science channel that partially targets children.
I especially like the part where he reminds people that they can buy nitrol-methane by the drum.
