They never evolved the capacity for delayed gratification and future planning. They were mostly pre-agricultural with no written language when sub-saharan africa was colonized. Since their language is primitive they are unable to assign temporal significance to activities like farming. Africa is fertile so they never needed to plan crops or harvests. Some of their languages don't have past or future tenses. In my opinion since their language is primitive they are inclined to express themselves physically. For example, they are prone to violence or crime for immediate gratification. Their primitive mating rituals are displayed in daggering or twerking. This is similar to female primates presenting themselves for copulation.
