neeva is a pretty good search engine, and has no ads.
In theory they charge $5 a month, but they give you 3 free months, and i've been using it for 5 months and they keep giving me more free months?
Do they build their own index or just pull from Google?
I can't say for sure, but they have broadly similar results.
It's really the #1 question that matters on this topic.
It's like saying I want better news than CNN and then recommending someone who just reposts CNN articles in a different order.
The searches are almost identical to google.
The contents of the "almost" part is what matters.
