Human activity is not causing any measurable increase in the global temperature.
I thought it had been determined that human impact was measurable but so insignificant, that measurement is a waste of time. Insignificant to the point where it's safe to say "irrelevant". Perhaps I was wrong- the "science" on this changes so rapidly, it can be hard to keep up.
Perhaps when she made that statement, she was just trying to cover her ass- perhaps she saw the truth, that global warming via man's actions was bullshit, but she can't outright say that. So when you're in a position where speaking your mind will lose you something important, and you're a woman, you will often "cushion" your actual statement with a little white lie. By her straddling the fence on this issue, she hoped to shield herself from criticism of both sides as well as retain some measure of her own personal dignity by not flat out lying.
I'm just speculating, I don't know the woman. I'm just trying to put myself in the shoes of someone involved in weather. Not believing in global warming must be like... a Christian who doesn't believe in Christ or a viral researcher who doesn't believe HIV by itself causes AIDS- you'd be quickly ostracized and crushed. Career ruined, socially targeted, the entire jew machine turned upon you.
