Vague article. To help clear up. There's no nuke plant on any of the islands in the Pittsburgh area. (There's 3 islands in that part of the Ohio river.) That would be dumb as hell, due to flood possibilities. Think Fukushima Japan dumb. Idk for sure, but I thought Brunot Island was or still is owned by the utility company Duquesne Light or maybe Westinghouse. (Idk for sure, look it up for yourself.) I don't believe anyone lives there. There's no way to get onto the island, but by boat. All that's there is an aging power plant. Probably gas, probably completely automated.
