I was in NY during 9/11. I vividly remember watching this live. It was such a great moment, politics and everything else aside, to watch the people of NY all band together and rise up to take care of each other. HUGE contrast to what happened in Louisiana a few years later during Katrina.

I was in study hall. History teacher I really liked came in and whispered to the other. Rest of the day tvs on in every class. Years later ran into him. Anti Trumper. I'm like, well, I don't like him as a person, but he's doing a lot of good.
