Years ago I had a friend who got into weed. He said that it’s not as big a deal as alcohol, but once he started smoking every day he became mildly stoned and stupid all the time—even when he hadn’t smoked since the day before.

Thankfully he wasn’t addicted, so he cut it back to maybe once per week.

There are probably a lot of frequent weed smokers who should not be operating heavy machinery, ie. driving.

That was enough to tell me the stuff should not be used regularly. Reading that article makes it even clearer.

I remember trying it a handful of times in high school…always ended up just feeling stupid. I can’t imagine walking around trying to function like that all the time…

I get that it impacts everyone a little differently…one of the smartest guys in my school (md/phd) was a big proponent and frequent user…but still, can’t help but think he could’ve achieved more if he were sober.

At the end of the day, those who indulge that frequently are masking underlying issues, and sugar coating those issues with drugs or alcohol will allow them to fester and spread. I’m not surprised at all to read how many other issues frequent pot use is tied to.

edit: cleaning up text that read like it was written by a stoned retard.
