Just a reminder, most modern phones cannot be turned off. Hitting the power button on most modern phones is not actually a power button. Rather, this is just another button which signals the main processor to power down the secondary application processor. The main processor is the RF processor and it remains active with full access to your phone's devices (GPS, memory, wireless, etc.). On most modern phones, the only way to power it off is to physically remove the battery.
