OFC they did. They were protecting their contract not the astronauts. I imagine that they have missed major milestones on this contract and probably owe money back to the government or wont get a scheduled pay out. Not only that, their module is probably not going to be certified now and may end up just being scrapped entirely. Boeing is looking at selling off their space division after all.
