From the post:

>Nearly 700 US counties have a lower life expectancy than North Korea, startling new data reveals. Researchers at the University of Wisconsin - Madison combed through Census data for more than 3,100 counties across the US to determine the average life expectancy for each one. They found just over one-fifth of the US has a life expectancy equal to or less than 72.6, the average age a North Korean citizen is expected to live, according to the latest World Health Organization (WHO) data. And nine counties have life expectancies under 60, mirroring some of the world's most impoverished nations like Syria, Sudan and Lesotho. The findings come despite the US spending more on healthcare per capita than any other country in the world.
