Yet another example of corporate feudalism. The government can't do this, corporations have no problem.

Since when did corporations care what people do with their products?

The group also demanded that “tools to amplify factual voices over disinformation”

Drown out facts we don't like and amplify our propaganda.

the answer to Trump and other allegedly bad voices was not to “do away with the internet,” but rather to “build a better one” that can “withstand” such “challenges.”

We will change the internet so we can deny access to those we disagree with.

corporate feudalism

Just call it what it is Fascism. Mussolini himself defined fascism as the lucrative merger of business and state.

While I agree that fascism is accurate, to me, corporate feudalism is easier to imagine. Fascism is not well defined and many people don't know what to imagine. Several "internet" definitions include "far-right". There is nothing left or right about fascism. Corporate feudalism implies a feudal lord and serfs. I think this concept is more easily understood.

When business and State collude, that's Communism. When Fascism subdues the corporations for the benefit of the people, that's Fascism.

There can be no doubt that the most bitter enemy of Communism has always been Fascism.

There can be no doubt that we're living through a Communist coup in America today.

The solution is Fascism. Either we put them in Death Camps or they put us in Gulags. There is no middle ground.

Fascism is nothing like this. Not even remotely.

Mozilla is funded by Google. Committing suicide for the benefit of their employer.

My father and my grandfathers would have killed them.

They would have done that because they knew how fucking dangerous bolshevik cunts are.

Cool. Any alternatives to Firefox that's as well supported?

I have Waterfox is basically like firefox. Opera is a mainstream alternative to firefox. Operagx with free unlimited vpn and epic browser. Comodo also has browsers based on mainstream ones.

I was A Firefox user and I'll suggest two Firefox based alternatives : IceCat and Waterfox. I use both in place of Firefox.

I use Waterfox on windows because it is well maintained and updated monthly. In Linux and Android I use IceCat. You can obtain this with F-Droid on Android.

On windows I am beginning to favor Ungoogled Chromium but managing extensions for this is a pain as Google tries to keep that out of the Chrome web store.

All of these I mention are said not to, "phone home," to Google or Firefox having removed the spying bits.

Use a user agent spoofer. Makes websites think you're using a different browser.

Been with Brave a couple of years now- no complaints. One thing I would advise new Brave users to be aware of is the Crypto wallets/rewards. If you are not interested in that, make sure to turn off all crypto/rewards options in the settings.

Any browser that is well supported means there is money behind it. If there is money behind it, it will be part of corporate feudal society or the kleptocracy.

Grab Fennec fox from fdroid on android phone. Its a de-shilled Firefox. Gonna have to figure where to move to on PC.

Brave on Android has absolutely nothing to be jealous off. Excellent ANdroid browser.

I ll try Waterfox now on Windows
