Look, I've never got along with police, and I've never committed a crime (to my knowledge), but I was harassed and had all manner of bad experiences with police my whole life, and every time the problem was their inability to act like people and think independently, I've seen them deny reality that was happening right in front of them because it conflicted with their orders, I've seen them carry out act that the human trapped within those shells knew was the wrong thing to do, legally and morally, because their orders come first, When I was a little kid I thought that the "lawful stupid" police officer who just went with their given protocol no matter what was a joke, a parody with no connection to reality, it's not, they truly are like that, and the good ones? the ones with consciences and humanity intact? they get punished of fired, so they don't matter, the only way to keep a badge is to be by the books, even if it means being complicit to genocide or a frame-up job, so if they are anything over a rookie or a desk worker, the chances are they got where they are by being monsters. Fuck them all. They don't care about truth, or goodness, or even peace and order, they only care about doing what they are told.
