also the plot of many a hollywood movie, the problem is that liberals (at least the ones that I know) think that obedience and the law is the same thing as morality. If you point out something that clearly doesn't make any sense at all they will just stare at you blankly just like an NPC and then will say something like "well whatcha gonna do?" and the cycle repeats.
