Restaurant business has been nearly destroyed in our state. Owners came forward and said they can't find help because people would rather stay home and collect employment security payments. It's human nature. I worked as s career counselor to people being laid off. Most people came in when their benefits were running out, because they could scoot into school and be paid for it. Not that I'm against people gaining job skills. My conclusion is the clients in general felt wronged and determined to milk as much as possible from the government. I could see the boomer plague fostering this feeling. After all, having to wear a mask, and so on is demoralizing, inhumane and unnecessary. I think facing that evil takes a lot of courage, because you realize that you don't matter at all to (((them))). Some people can't handle that fact.
