No. Castle Doctrine does not allow the brandishing of a weapon. The law basically suggests that you can't pull a gun on someone unless your allowed to pull the trigger, and you can only pull the trigger if you are in fear of imminent seriously bodily injury or death. Castle Doctrine protects you from liability by making it clear that you have no obligation to retreat or flee. If defending your person or property puts you in imminent fear of serious bodily injury or death, then you can defend yourself, regardless of your ability to get away.

How were they not in fear of imminent injury? There was 50 people there that broke through their gate. I'm asking, not being a smart ass. I need to look into the law side of this stuff.

Imminent is a word with a specific definition. 50 people on your property, yelling, shouting, cursing, even threatening is not an imminent danger, even if the crowd was armed. There is plenty of video. If you can show me where you think blowing someone, or a bunch of someones, away would have been justified, we can talk about it, but it's imminent threat of serious bodily injury or death, not bad things might happen if you don't do something. Or, big crowds are scary kind of stuff.
