If you purchased your property through a bank the banks can’t lose but they definitely win more if you default on your loan and they repossess the house.
I know a lot of renters here in Oz and not a single one who isn’t an addict of some kind has any issue paying their rent. If you can’t pay your rent and you haven’t worked something out with your landlord you need to gtfo out of their house, simple.
