And magically, just like that, he becomes the only viable candidate in the minds of one side of the public. Its actually a really simple formula. 1. figure out any statements or subjects the media cant ignore 2. exclude statements that the public has been trained to delitimize, even if it means lying to the public - because the public are fucking braindead, and if its for their own good, better you lie to them in order to obtain/maintain power, than a shiftless group of beady eyed rootless cosmopolitans who intend to rob/destroy the public. Sometimes it takes wolves to protect sheep from the jackals. 3. make said statements. Become so controversial, that when the media predictably ignores you (because thats the *actual* playbook to destroy a threat), them ignoring your campaign becomes conspicuous. Anonymity is death in politics.
