Agree with you, conservation just made sense for good farmers and hunting landowners. Hard to find coverage of it but read an article about how upset some German Green Party members in rural towns were at their country's immigration policy. Shit-skins were trashing flora and fauna in their carefully restored small urban green spaces. Basically turning them into bare-ground, filthy water party campgrounds.
